Wushanicaritin, a major active compound isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine Epimedium plants, exhibits significant antioxidant activity(IC50=35.3 μM) in DPPH radical scavenging activity tests. Antitumor effects and anti-inflammatory property[1].Wushanicaritin, a natural polyphenol compound, exerts many biological activities. Diphenyl picryl hydrazinyl radical (DPPH) radical scavenging activity tests indicated that Wushanicaritin (IC50=35.3 μM) exhibits significant antioxidant activity comparable to Vitamin C (IC50=32.0 μM)[1].[1].
